Is Your Body Trying to Tell You Something? Let's Listen.

We've all done it.

You lift something awkward, feel that familiar tweak, and convince yourself a few days of rest will sort it out. You ice it. You take it easy. You maybe pop a couple of Advil and wait for it to pass.

But here you are — weeks later — still favouring one side, still shifting uncomfortably in your desk chair, still skipping the gym, still saying "I'm fine" when someone asks. And quietly wondering if this is just what getting older feels like now.

It isn't. And I want you to know that.

Pain That Lingers Is Not Normal — And It's Not Your Fault

One of the things I hear most often in my practice is: "I didn't think it was bad enough to see someone."

But here's what I've learned in over 20 years of clinical practice: the patients who wait the longest are often the ones who end up needing the most work. Not because their injury was severe — but because the body is incredibly good at compensating. It shifts weight, changes movement patterns, recruits different muscles to protect the painful area. And over time, those compensations become their own problem.

That tweak in your back? It might be causing your hip to work overtime. That knee pain you've been ignoring? It could be your body's way of telling you something is off much higher up the chain.

Pain that lingers is your body asking for attention. And the sooner we listen, the sooner we can get you back to the things you love.

What I Do Differently

I've been practising physiotherapy for over 20 years, with the last decade focused entirely on pelvic health and orthopaedic care. And in that time, the one thing I've come to believe deeply is this: you cannot treat a symptom without understanding the whole person.

When you come to see me, here's what you can expect:

I Listen First — Really Listen

Before I lay a hand on you, I want to hear your story. Not just "where does it hurt" — but what has this injury taken away from you? What can't you do right now that you're desperate to get back to? Is it your morning run? Keeping up with your kids or grandkids? Getting through a workday without bracing yourself every time you stand up?

That answer is your goal. And it becomes the foundation of everything we do together.

Every Session Is 1:1 and Hands-On

You will not be handed off to a machine or left alone in a room with a heat pack while I see another patient. Your appointment time is your time — spent entirely with me, in a private room, with my full attention on you. I believe that's the standard of care every patient deserves, and it's the standard I hold myself to.

I Find the Root Cause — Not Just the Symptom

This is the part that makes the biggest difference. That knee pain might actually be a hip stability issue. That persistent back tweak might be connected to how you sit at your desk for eight hours a day. That shoulder ache could be a posture and breathing pattern problem that no amount of shoulder exercises will fix on its own.

I look at your whole body — how you move, how you compensate, where the real breakdown is happening — so that when the pain goes away, it actually stays away. Not a temporary fix. Deep, lasting healing.

Who I Can Help

Orthopaedic Physiotherapy is for anyone who is living with pain that is getting in the way of their life. That includes:

  • Acute injuries — the tweak, the pull, the "I just moved wrong"

  • Chronic or recurring pain that keeps coming back no matter what you try

  • Post-surgical recovery — helping you rebuild strength, mobility and confidence after a procedure

  • Desk job aches — the neck, shoulders, and back that suffer through long hours at a screen

  • Sports injuries — whether you're a weekend warrior or a seasoned athlete

And honestly, anyone who has been told "there's nothing wrong" but still doesn't feel right

If pain is stopping you from living fully, I want to help.

You've Been Patient Long Enough

I know how easy it is to keep putting it off. To tell yourself you're too busy, it's not that bad, you'll just push through. I've heard it hundreds of times — and I understand it.

But I also know what it feels like for a patient to walk out of my clinic moving freely for the first time in months. That moment never gets old. And it's available to you too.

You don't have to keep managing. You deserve to actually heal. 💙
