Instead of “What If,” Ask “What Now?"

I’ll be honest — I’m not a baseball fan.

But recently, I found myself reading about the Blue Jays and their heartbreaking loss in the World Series. And somehow, despite my best efforts, I got a little invested.

After the game, the conversations were filled with what ifs.

⚾ What if that ball hadn’t been called dead?

⚾ What if he’d made it home?

And it hit me — we do this exact same thing in our health journeys.

The “What If” Trap

We replay moments in our minds, searching for the thing we should have done differently.

💭 What if I hadn’t lifted that box?

💭 What if I’d chosen a C-section?

💭 What if I’d started exercising sooner?

💭 What if I’d listened to my body before it hurt this much?

The truth? It’s not your fault.

You didn’t choose to be in pain. You didn’t choose the sleepless nights, the discomfort, or the frustration that comes with feeling disconnected from your body.

But what you do have control over — starting today — is what happens next.

From “What If” to “What Now”

Instead of asking “What if,” start asking “What now?”

Because what if keeps you stuck in the past, but what now moves you forward.

“What now” looks like:

✨ Taking a short walk, even if it’s just around the block.

✨ Doing two squats instead of skipping exercise completely.

✨ Reaching out for help — not because you need fixing, but because you deserve support.

You don’t need a full plan, fancy gym, or perfect timing.

You just need to start where you are.

Healing Is a Partnership

When you work with a healthcare professional — whether it’s for pelvic health, pain, or overall movement — their job isn’t to fix you.

It’s to walk beside you.

To offer perspective, tools, and understanding.

To help you see possibilities when all you’ve been feeling is limitation.

Healing happens in partnership, not perfection.

The Power of “What Now”

If you’ve been sitting in the land of “what ifs,” take this as your sign to move gently forward.

You can’t rewrite the past — but you can choose your next step.

And those small, consistent choices? They add up.

So stop waiting for the perfect moment.

Stop replaying the regrets.

And start asking yourself:

“What now?” 💎

Because that’s where change begins.
